This winery was fantastic. It is placed on a hill and you need to take a short scenic lift to get up there. They give you your first taste as you get off. You take a self-guided tour of their facility which ends on a patio overlooking the valley. You get your second tasting there. We didn't want to leave it was so nice. Make sure to bring a camera. You back track a bit to the tasting room where you get three or four more tastes. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside again. The wine was as good as the atmosphere. This is a must stop at the north end of Napa Valley. Enjoy.

If you visit, at least enjoy the Gondola ride - the wines have little to no taste other than the strong alcohol finish...

We love stopping at Sterling and usually end up with at least a case of wine. The gondola ride is great and it's also fun to take first-timers for the view. Love the reserve tasting room as well.
