Napa Valley Vineyards

Dutch Henry is an appointment only destination located off of the Silverado Trail. It's a smaller scale vineyard that offers big taste with intimacy. The tasting room is very small with room for 4-6 snug at the bar, which is why they want you to make an appointment to be able to accommodate their guests. On the grounds, aside from the grapes, are numerous picnic tables and a bocce ball court, which guests can take advantage of while visiting the vineyard. Dutch Henry offers tastings of their wines as well as their olive oils and vinegars, which can be purchased on site as well as found in stores in the area. Be sure to check out some of the merchandise that is for sale, including some great books and dog themed gifts as well that relates to the strong relationship that the vineyard has with its own four legged friends. This is a great stop along the Silverado Trail, but again make sure to call ahead.

There is a $10 tasting fee - Jan. 1, 2009

Ok

There is a $10 tasting fee per person, however it can be added to a purchase.
We tasted in the room with the barrels. The man was happy to help us taste, but did not give us any additional information on the winery or take any action to make us more comfortable.
I recommend going on a slower day, which could allow for more a personal feel.
