very snobby about reservations. They wouldn't let us sit for a tasting since we didn't have a reservation... And NO ONE Was there! Try Groth. Better wine and much nicer staff!

Caymus offers an exclusive, quiet sit-down tasting room by appointment only. The tasting fee was $25 per person but the personal attention was well worth it.
You are taken into a private room with a large dining room table that is set up with glasses, crackers and water. A brief history and description is given as each wine is poured, and then you have the opportunity to discuss with your fellow tasters (so nice since the tasting room is sit-down and is limited to 10 people at a time).
If you make an appointment here, DO NOT SHOW UP LATE! They are VERY serious about punctuality, and you will be shut out of the tasting if you are not on time.
I pretty much love anything and everything that Caymus puts out. You can only buy their yummy Zinfandel directly at the winery, though. The Cabernet is the true rock star here.
