Artesa Winery is a "must-see" destination for visitors to the Napa Valley, often topping lists of local tourist attractions. A graceful balance of form, color and nature, enhanced by tranquil fountains and a small pond, Artesa's spacious grounds were conceived to be in harmony with its surroundings. A sweeping staircase leading to the winery entrance is set between twin cascades of water. The expansive terrace offers 360 degree panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside, and on clear days, a view of the San Francisco skyline. An ultra-modern facility houses winemaking, aging cellars, a visitor's center and administrative offices. Resident Artist Gordon Huether's stunning works in various media such as glass and metal are exhibited throughout the winery, and his six shimmering sculpted vine sculptures surrounding the main fountain.

We have visited Artesa Winery twice and we are planning a family trip to Napa in May 2008. This will be the first winery we visit, would never miss it. Love the wine!! The architure and design of this fabulous winery stands high on a hill. Beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day.

Excellent views, nice wine but the wine tasting room is like a crowded bar (august 2008) not intimate like some others. But take that glass of wine out on the balcony to a table for 2 and the crowd disperses and just the vision remains . Recommend.
